Released just prior to Methlab taking the ‘Best Newcomer Label’ award at the Dum and Bass Arena awards ceremony, this release perfectly articulates the mission, direction and intent of Methlab – To release the music of tomorrow. You will not find another EP in this moment with the sound design or vision that is embodied in this release.

Audeka & Bells Worth – ‘Dark Matter Lunchbox’ How much is going on in this track??! Meticulous arrangement and design can easily lead to indulgance but the mechanics here perfectly combine to devestating effect. The soundscape conjures 3 dimensional shapes in your minds eye. Awe inspiring.

Rawtekk & Audeka – ‘Solar Grace’  The teaming up of these guys always produces inevitable anticipation. A boundary killing masterpiece full of delicate and sinister emotion. Superb!

Broken Note – ‘Rust in peace’ If I had enough hair, I would be flinging it about death metal style to this narly number. Love this vibe! Controlled mayhem is the term I’m going to use here! Brilliant!

Hybris – ‘Get Rumble’ Pioneering stuff here from the American who gives us a half step number with a serious twist in the plot. You’re going to have to listen for yourself to find out! Whatever your view, the mastery in this track is clear. Certainly the track of the bunch that I would attribute the EP title to in order to convey its stature.

Volatile Cycle & Barbarix – ‘Rundled’ A manic half stepper that ebbs and flows with style and prowess. I’ve said it before in the review of this EP – the arrangement of the work here is second to none. The complexity of the sounds could easily make for a confused and bungling track….not a hint of it here! Big big tune!

Aethek – ‘Vertebrae’ Which ever pseudonym this producer uses, it would not matter. His style is undefined, as is his limits. Sure to keep you guessing on what is possible at every step! A track which which has turned heads at every outing! Get this groundbreaking EP right here
