Coma – The Strange Effect Vol. 1 Featuring Sense MC

After a hard weekend of partying alongside Doc Scott here in Shanghai, I resigned myself to the fact that unfortunately, that would probably be the last time I heard good drum and bass for a while.  That was, until, I checked my inbox this morning! . . .

[dropcap]N[/dropcap]ow it’s no secret that for me, Sense MC is one of the most interesting, intelligent and versatile MC’s in the game who seems to go from strength to strength on every recording and this latest collaboration mix from the equally talented Coma is no exception.  For those that might not be familiar, Coma has been making waves in the harder, underground drum and bass scene for the last few years with releases already under his belt on the mighty Icarus Audio, Mute:8 Recordings and Diffrent Music with many more scheduled for the coming year.  This promo mix kicks things off with dark and minimal sounds from forthcoming collaboration tracks by himself, Arkaik and Semitone to name but a few, then rolls through into a harder, more tech inspired sound that for me, sum up Coma’s style perfectly.

After listening to this mix from start to finish I’m super hyped to hear what Coma’s got in store for the next year! Roll on “The Strange Effect – Vol 2”.
