When you talk about atmospheric jungle, Vibez Recordings is a name that carries serious weight. Founded in the late ‘90s by Subject 13, a true pioneer of the sound, the label carved out a lane that stayed true to the deep, cinematic side of jungle—fusing breakbeats with ambient textures in a way that felt both futuristic and timeless.
While the scene shifted towards darker, more aggressive drum & bass, Vibez kept it soulful, championing the artistry, emotion, and intricate depth that made jungle special in the first place. Over the years, it’s become a cult imprint, a cornerstone for those who appreciate the meditative, rolling rhythms that define the atmospheric side of the genre.
Now, after a period of dormancy, Vibez Recordings is back, balancing its legendary status with a fresh vision. New talent, fresh ideas, but the same dedication to pushing the boundaries of rhythm and atmosphere. It’s a return that feels right on time.
