Recently there has been a lot of animosity between the different sub genres of the drum and bass world. A divide which has grown bigger & bigger and has turned nasty on more than one occasion.

One man trying to bridge that divide, goes by the name of Sonny Symes a.k.a Melinki. A DJ & Producer based in Hastings, who has been making serious movements in the scene over the last few years. 2016 was a busy one for Melinki as he released an EP on Emcee Recordings, got his first BBC Radio 1 play and played the last ever Renegade Hardware event. He has also got a lot of new music being released this year receiving heavy support from heavyweights such as Friction, Kasra, Philth & Erb n Dub, along with a heap of huge DJ bookings. Sonny is definitely barking up all the right trees.

After seeing a lot of hostility within the scene, Melinki decided to create ‘The Four Corners Mix’. With the idea of bringing the main 4 ‘corners’ of drum and bass together in one mix. To add a little bit extra to it, Sonny has called on vocal talents of Tali, Visionobi, Harry Shotta and Coppa to represent their sub genre. Supplying them each with around 10 tracks, this quality mix has something to please everyone. Full 360 business.

With free download now enabled, we highly recommend you head over to his Soundcloud and cop that!
