Tubepicks: Onism QI

Welcome to another instalment of Tubepicks. The column, where we ask producers to give us an insight into their YouTube adventures with their top 5 favourite YouTube videos of the moment.

This time I’ve enlisted Onism QI. A trio made up of US producers, Quentin Hiatus, Thomas B & Ghast.  Their most recent release “96 Dreamer EP” came out on Translation a couple of weeks ago.  It’s a devastating blend of jungle, hardcore, house, drum and bass packaged into a cloud of sonic bliss.  It’s well worth checking out.  Now on to the Tubepicks. . .

Weval – Someday

This video is visually incredible. Stitching aerial photography, stills, and moving shots into an incredible stop-motion eye trip.

Hannibal Buress Freestyles While Eating Spicy Wings | Hot Ones

Hannibal Buress is a favorite comedian among us. We also have a shared love of Hot Ones.

Lorn – Sega Sunset

Its no secret that one of Don (Ghast)’s favorite artists of all time is Lorn. This video combines the impactful atmosphere of his track “Sega Sunset” with one of the short stories from the 1987 film “Neo Tokyo”. A high-stakes race against the driver’s own mind follows the song as a perfect ascension into his own demise.

Ding Dongs funny commercial by Chip Films

I don’t even like ding dongs..

Derrick Branch – Moxy

Derrick Branch is one of the oddest and wonderful fusions of emo rap, metal and goth culture into one trippy, depressing, yet relatable dude.
