Our friends Chris Dexta & Lewis Sicknote plan to open a brand new record store and cutting house in London. Last week, they launched a kickstarter campaign to get them up and running. They are hoping to reach their target of £12,500 by the end of November and have their record shop / cutting house, ‘Disc World’ open before the year is out!
The Shop will be located in South East London, part of the Deptford Market Yard complex – just a short walk from Deptford rail station and will be the place to go for all the latest in cutting edge dance music, creating a hub for dance music DJs / fans to discover new music and meet people with a similar interest in music.
In just a few days backers have managed to pledge over 40% of the target, and with a little extra help they will be able to get this project off the ground and start a new community for the underground!
In addition to the shop, they’re planning to move their dubplate cutting company ‘1-800-Dubplate’ into the same building so you’ll be able to have your music cut straight to doublet while you wait!
