Back for their third year, Sequences Festival returns to Bristol on the 21st July. The one-day outdoor event set around the iconic Motion nightclub makes use of the club’s ample outdoor spaces, delivering an unparalleled atmosphere backed by some of the world’s most powerful and revered sound systems.
Working in collaboration with four of the UK’s most respected bass music institutions & enlisting a selection of established and up and coming artists, the festival will see over 50 acts pass through providing a selection of the finest dubplates and dancefloor classics bass music has to offer.
Nominated for Best New Festival, Best Small Festival and Best Dance Event at the UK Festival Awards, Sequences sees long-time local collaborators The Blast (Dirt Soundsystem) drum & bass giants Critical Music (Void Acoustics) and Bristol-based grime & dubstep collective Bandulu alongside returning Deep Medi (Mungo’s Hi-Fi) host three stages.
The Blast takes over the main arena with Rejjie Snow, Mist, garage hero Conducta, Coco, Holy Goof, Mina, Bryte, LEVELZ lyricist Chimpo, progressive dubstep/grime producer & DJ L U C Y as well as The Blast residents. Making their Bristol debut are drum and bass power group Problem Central, comprising of Logan D, Magistrate, Eksman & Evil B.
Revered D&B imprint Critical Music host the second stage with an exceptionally curated line up of long-standing contributors & special guests. Neuro heavyweights Noisia headline the bill alongside the legendary Hazard & liquid/halftime maestro Halogenix. Joining them will be Mefjus, who has just released his impeccable second album ‘Manifest’, Critical boss Kasra, Ivy Lab, Sam Binga and Foreign Concept & QZB providing a special b2b set. GQ, 2shy, Chunky, Mantmast, Carasel and Makism step up on mic duties.
Finally, joining forces to present a mammoth grime and dubstep line-up are revered 140 collective Deep Medi and Bristol’s very own grime & dubstep purveyors Bandulu, with label bosses Kahn & Neek and Mala stepping up to the decks. Hi5Ghost, Boofy, Compa and  Sir Spyro join Egoless (live) with a debut set from Commodo & Rocks FOE. Gracing the mic will be Bristol’s Rider Shafique, Killa P, Irah and Sun of Selah.
With the previous two years selling out, a larger capacity venue and an impeccably curated selection of some of the finest artists in the industry, Sequences 2018 looks to be one of the stand-out festivals of the year once again. Check out the full event info and grab your tickets here.
