FABRICLIVE Carnival Special | Review

Commencing the Carnival celebrations last month, Fabric played host to one of the biggest Notting Hill warm-ups of the year – the FABRICLIVE Carnival Special. 
The iconic London nightclub saw hundreds of people pass through its doors, welcomed to a night of world music & drum and bass hosted by some of the industries finest. The main room saw Rum’N’Riddim represent the best in Jamaican and Tropical-infused bass music. A night with three years of history in the capital, the evening saw industry greats including Kenny Ken, Kiko Bun & Jus Now, lay down a selection of cuts spanning from Dancehall to Jungle, Reggae & Afrobeat.

Room Two was packed with fans of deep, experimental sonics – immersed at the hands of Om Unit B2B Kid Drama, who’s set was my favourite of the evening, alongside Bailey and Need for Mirrors for another exceptional Soul In Motion takeover series. The legendary Dillinja lead the proceedings and Mark System celebrated the release of his first EP for the label. Drum and Bass veterans Carlito & Addiction completed the bill. It was the perfect start to another rowdy Carnival weekend.
