I’m going to begin this article with simply saying I had one of the best experiences getting totally lost in the woods at Farr! The festival was organised without fault, the layout was exactly what was needed, the amount of people was perfect and the vibe in camp and in the arena was so good it was like nothing I’ve experienced before… Believe me I’ve been to a few festivals in my time and without a doubt this is definitely one I will be returning to!
“Tip’s of the hat Farr Festival organizers. I salute you!”
We landed on the Thursday night after an easy journey we were greeted by welcoming staff at the gates. Cracked a beer and set up tents, more beer and the music got turned on full wack, then more beer and sleep 🙂
Woke up Friday roasting in my tent… Crawled out onto the grass and found the beers (730am). Starting to feel good again.. We had a full day of sun.. applying minimal sun cream and being protective of our territory (we held it well for the gang)** Finally people started landing and we could setup our base for the next few.
Drum and bass in the evening went off! dBridge and the SP charged the Fox hole for a full-scale onslaught of pounding basslines and fluctuating sounds. Alix Perez, Spectrasoul and then the Skeptical and MC Fokus stepped up to follow suite and polish off what was a well run first night of partying!
The next day it was 3 stages of house, which is obviously not my predominant choice but I have to say it was pretty damn good, Bicep smashed it all over the place, and the crowd was vibing the whole night through. (Unfortunately I was having camera issues during the day so there isn’t many photos of the second night, but we did capture loads on the video camera so stay locked!)
**Thanks to the York/Colchester crew for the backups on this one 😉
Anyway here’s a look at the festival through our lens[fsg_gallery id=”3″]
