Choice Cuts: March

Look who’s back with some new choice cuts from the last few weeks. The last of the winter tunes hopefully. Things should be warming up soon and we can start dusting off some sunshine vibes. Anyway, to keep you in the mood why not lock in to Seba’s new singles on his own label and Metalheadz. They’re up first.

Defrostatica released the second instalment in their Rogue Style EP series. All the tracks are inspired by the producers experiences break dancing and the role that played on their entry into music production. There’s a host of tracks on the EP. Here’s one pick from me.

Some aggy drums and Renegade Hardware esque tracks now on this EP from Dirty – D. Inspired by sketches made at the end of the 90’s.

I couldn’t find this one on Soundcloud but it caught my eye when Calibre did his Essential Mix for Pete Tong and i’m pleased to see it’s out in no time on Calibre’s own label, Signature Recordings.

Here’s the video on YouTube.

Dub Phizix has continued his new Ohmgrown series with Dust. A series of releases focused on getting music out quickly. He’s taking responsibility for every step of the production process including making the artwork and music video.

Last but not least for this month a couple of housey bits from UK bass label, Affectionate Grooves.

Also news has been doing the rounds lately that Fade is raising money for hearing aids following loss of his hearing which means he can no longer produce or dj. He has released an album on his bandcamp to raise funds.
